PERMACOAT

High performance, 100% solids, virtually odor-free and zero VOC coatings providing protection from extreme chemical and mechanical abuses that do not require our heavy duty PermaTec systems. PermaCoat systems are typically applied from 50-125 mils, or as a 12-16 mil topcoat for one of the PermaTec systems.

  • PermaCoat 3000 (Good) designed to protect concrete from a broad range of chemicals (i.e. 40% Sulfuric Acid)
  • PermaCoat 3000 CT designed for cool temperature applications between 45°F and 65°F
  • PermCoat 3000 XCT designed for cold temperatures down to 32°F
  • PermaCoat 4000 (Better) designed to provide more chemical resistance than PermaCoat 3000 (i.e. 75% Sulfuric Acid)
  • PermaCoat 5000 (Best) designed to protect concrete from the broadest range of chemicals (i.e. 98% Sulfuric Acid)
  • PermaCoat 4000 HT provides resistance to various chemicals at higher temperatures

PermaCoat functions as a high-performance secondary containment coating, designed to provide concrete and steel structures with long-term protection from aggressive chemical and mechanical abuses.

Purpose of a Secondary Containment Coating System

A secondary containment coating is intended to serve as protection of concrete dikes, berms and steel structures in chemical storage tank farms. PermaCoat fulfills this role by protecting your concrete and steel infrastructure by providing unsurpassed resistance to aggressive chemicals, environmental conditions and the mechanical abuses found in industry today.

Secondary Containment Performance

As a secondary containment coating, PermaCoat creates an impermeable protective lining that helps contain leaks and spills within designated areas in the event of tank storage upset or failure. The coating’s chemical and mechanical resistance allow it to withstand repeated and long-term exposure without compromising its containment capabilities. This level of performance is essential in containment areas where structural protection and environmental controls are critical.

Long-Term Protection Benefits

By incorporating PermaCoat as a secondary containment system, facilities gain an added margin of long-term infrastructure and asset protection.
